grrr... NX needs to go back and redo his pics page so that their all thumbnails...... :-P

Gmorning!

Yawn! Stretch! .

Been trying to call Mitch, no success yet.... Nor have I receive any e-mail yet.... No worries, I'm sure I'll hear from him soon. I can be patient.

w00t! People are posting comments to my live journal! I feel special :-D

Noticed something odd, the time of my entries is Central time, not pacific. I can only guess that is because my computer still shows central time and I'm using the downloaded program for posting entries..... Oh well. Hopefully others won't be too damn confused he he.

Now to track through NX's web site to find pics to attach to here.

Good things are going on

I'm free! No work tomorrow! w00t!

Woke up at 11 am, thought to myself that I need to get up, fell back asleep before I could complete the rest of the thought. Finally woke up at noon.

Got to work and was asked if I wanted to work Thursday, per one of the girls at work (who pretty much hates me and doesn't talk to me) can't make her shift. Poor baby, I said I would rather not as I had already made plans with my grandma before she heads out for the weekend. I worried that they would override my plans based on their needs. I guess they got it worked out cuz they didn't come back and tell me else wise and the schedule wasn't changed. Score!

At first the day couldn't go fast enough, then some customer purchased a lotto ticket and gave it to me to help cheer me up. Current jackpot $24 million. (crossing my fingers) After that they day went by at a pretty quick pace. I was sooo impatient to get off work, 10 p.m. couldn't come fast enough.
Heard more horrible country music and have started replacing the lyrics with my own. Muttered under my breath of course.

Before I left I picked up a can of Guinness draught, another bottle of Hard Cola, an ice cooler, package for Kawika, frapachino's and Gatorade.

I haven't heard from Mitch yet as to when he's going to swing by to pick me up, but oh well. I'll call him on the morrow.

Grandma has agreed to our day to hang out.

Tomorrow I mail off gifts for Kawika and a gift for Bobby. Something I found that just screamed his name at me. I know he'll like it even if he already has one. :-)
Must find something for James and Lanna. Though I think that finding something for Lanna with be easier.
I will send things to people as I find them. I want to send NX the sick and twisted animation festival but then reality steps in.

Other great news! Found that some of the people that I had added as my friends have noticed and added me as their friends! Which means I have real friends! Not just people I call friends! w00t w00t!
~THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU!~

Todays Sluggy was good, I am really liking this whole "sorcerers nuts" sketch.

Tomorrow I will be wearing some of my new clothes, same for each of my days off. Should be cool seeing as I have been losing weight and all (may have pics taken)

Also of note, didn't play spades last night. Instead I stayed up and finished reading a book, and started a new one today.

I will also be spending my time off trying to find a new job, aiming for a 'near-by' casino. If that fails then maybe Staples retail store. Why not? I worked for 3 1/2 years at the Staples Call Center.

1 more day to go

Ok, so my list of things to do yesterday didn't get done. I did find the links but e-mail to coworker was rejected, bad address. Forgot to e-mail friends, but I just finished doing that so......

Also didn't eat the candy bar last night, ate it at work today instead. No more queso so no dinner tonight.

Today work was with female coworker (one of many) but she actually does stuff, she works. She also works at the Shell station next to us. Eight hours at 7-11 and then straight over to Shell for another 8 hours. The only drawback working with her, she doesn't really talk with me and she does EVERYTHING, so all I get to do is stand by the register. I was really tired today. I would say that I need to stop with the games of Spades, but I did it last night and will probably do it again tonight.

Also got plans worked out for my days off. I will be having my friend Mitch pick me up and we'll go have fun Wednesday, maybe see a movie or something. Thursday I will try to spend time with my grandma. She's sooo cool. Saturday with Mitch, sushi and a play that he's been working with. Sunday laundry, relaxation and sun bathing. Also a few laps around the property depending on the weather.

Something I forgot to mention in the last post, I heard a horrible horrible country song. It was a remake of "Best friends Girl" done with fiddle and acoustic guitar, no drums and the tempo had been speeded up on the guitar to (in my opinion) make up for the lack of drums and electric guitar. EEeegh it made me twitch. Every time they got to the chorus I wanted to sing along but it was so wrong, didn't match the original enough and the changes just didn't work (to my ears).

I'm beginning to seriously doubt my qualities as a friend.

..........

Got up, went to work.
Dad was drunk when I left so no biggie there. Though on the ride home I got to hear about his antics while I was gone. It's about the only thing I like about working on Sunday, I don't have to put up with him.

Work today was pretty cool. Everyone was super-stressed when I arrived. It was soo cute to watch the girl who won't even talk to me freaking out. When I got on duty the customers dwindled and pretty much disappeared. So it was a nice slow day. The slave reparations topic came up again. Mostly my co-worker asking customers about it. I laughed and moved on. Today's coworker (same as yesterday) is my favorite, he's cool, conversational, and willing to learn geek stuff I teach him.

Tonight, I'm drinking Hard Cola (Jack Daniels product). Had more queso and fritos and will be throwing my *diet* to the wind with a king size Nutrageous. Oh well.
So far plans for my upcoming days off are dwindling. I will enjoy them any ways to the utmost!

Got another e-mail from an old friend who's in Colorado. He reminded me of a mutual friend who I don't think I told about my moving and would probably be very disappointed. I hope she'll forgive me.

Tonight I also searched some live journals of my friends and located more friends to add. Though also found that I needed to send a support request in per a prob with one of the
search options.

Last night I finished my evening with a couple of games of Spades online.

Things to do tonight, Find info for co-workers report online, e-mail coworker, e-mail friends and such.

Also part of tonight was spent doing online Which ( ) are you? quizzes. Some of them were much much fun.

another day, another fidy cents

Correction to prior post. I worked Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, today. (day 4) I still have work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Then, FINALY, I get a day off. w00t!.

So today started with waking up 3 different times, each time with my left eye almost sealed shut with crusties. Needless today said eyeball has been red, weepy, and painful all day. Seems something irritated it last night really really bad. Which means that my attempts to get up before 11:30 am are still failing. Oh well. More mornings yet to come so I'll keep trying.

Found out that transportation is being rearranged. Previously my grandma would take me to work and pick me up. Her car has been in the shop and so for the last week my cousin Paul did the duty of making sure I got to work and to home. So far this seems to have improved relations between us. Now that grandma has her car back they (meaning grandma and Paul) have made a few decisions. Now grandma will take me to work weekdays, and Paul will bring me home. On the weekends they want my dad to provide the transport to work. Which he will not like, per that cuts into his drinking time (he's an alcoholic). Paul will take me home on those days to, as we all know my dad will be seriously wasted by the time I get off work. I'm not sure how to feel about this.....

Work today was nothing new. One of my coworkers has hates me enough now that she won't even talk to me and barely returns any hello's. The guy I worked my shift with was pissed again because the shift before us leaves the store a mess and bolts after shift change sticking us with extra work. Later he cooled off and decided to start a decision about slave reparations. Said topic carried over into shift change so the next employee up got to hear part of it, though not the whole thing yet. Which made me a bit uncomfortable as the topic relates more to both of them and not as much to me. (as in, they are African American/black I'm Latino and mostly just look white).

Got 'home' and got a good laugh from Sluggy ( www.sluggy.com ). First real laugh today.

Tonight I'm feasting on chili cheese fritos and tostitos salsa con queso. Yummm! Dinner!

PS didn't win the lotto yet.

First Post

Well, I finally got my own live journal. So now all my friends and many others can read and keep up with my life (probably at a better rate than me!).

Lesse, today was work. day 2 out of an 8 day stretch down. For all intents and purposes I hate my job. Mostly because employee interactions are more like a daytime drama than work related. Everyone talking about who's mad at whom. Who said what, who had a bad day, who's pregnant now, who's sleeping (or giving cookies as they call it) to whom. Eeegh! Besides that there seems to be no respect for anyone and even less for me who is the 'newbie' even after 2 months. I didn't know about this side of working at 7-11. Also to note, about 2 people (not counting me) out of the whole store have even seen the movie clerks. Second most hated thing about my job is that since I started working there I've heard more country music than I did in 5 years of living in Oklahoma!

No much else to add today except that I hope to start adding people to my friends list as soon as they find my journal.
